I really like the statement “cells dna and proteins are two of the most fundamental building blocks of life.” but I would have to say that most people don’t get it.
It is true that dna contains a lot of information, but its not the end-all, be-all of the information in a cell. In fact, most of the information in a cell is hidden inside the protein. I think this is because the DNA molecule is so complex that the proteins can’t simply replicate and reproduce without the DNA info. The reason I say this is because I’ve found that the DNA is actually a bit of a mystery to most people.
The reason is because most people dont know what the protein is. It isn’t the DNA, the proteins, or the RNA. It is what proteins are made of. When a cell reproduces, it manufactures proteins. The proteins are made of the information in the dna. The reason is because it is the information in the dna that tells the cell what to make next. That is why most of the information in a cell is hidden inside the protein.
The DNA is the information that actually determines a cell’s ability to divide. It is all in the DNA. So the question then becomes, what is the relationship between dna and protein? The problem is that a cell has the same protein as its nucleus (and thus dna), but it also has the same protein as its cytoplasm (and thus the proteins to make the cytoplasm). It is therefore not the same protein as the one inside that cell. It’s true that some proteins are much smaller than other proteins, but this is only true for specific proteins. For example, DNA is much smaller than ribosomal proteins, which are larger than proteins.
