The worst thing that can happen is for a mentor to become disappointed in you. It’s okay to be upset about something, but your trainee needs to be able to feel the same way. If you can’t get that across, then you can’t help them. If you’re angry, then you probably need to be more compassionate in your interactions with them. If you’re not in the mood, then you probably need to be more understanding.
The best thing that can happen is that youll get to learn from someone. If you learn from your mentor, you can build on what youve seen and learn a lot. If you learn from someone else, then you can build on what theyve shown you and learn a lot more.
