The relationships between absorbance and concentration can be a tricky one, as there is a lot of information out there.
We often hear it said that absorption is the amount of energy absorbed into a substance, where concentration is the amount of energy absorbed into the substance after the substance has been absorbed. The problem is that both are quite different things. Absorption is an energy gain, whereas concentration is an energy loss. For example, absorption of calcium into a body can be a waste of energy because it takes energy to create all the calcium.
In the context of absorption, the amount of energy absorbed is not the same as the amount of energy actually used. The amount of energy absorbed isn’t really all that important, but it is an important metric because it will tell you how much energy was actually used in the process.

I actually have a set amount of concentration, but it drops as I use more. You can have the same amount of concentration, yet if you use too much energy, you can quickly get absorbed.
In a similar manner, its seems like absorption is really good at picking up on what you’re actually doing while concentration is good at picking up on what you’re not doing. It makes sense.
