This is a blog post about goblin names.

The article will start by discussing the limitations of goblins, then it’ll talk about how to create nicknames for them. The last section will cover 125+ unique nicknames found in Dungeons and Dragons Fifth Edition books.

They are limited with what they can do because their small stature makes it difficult to manipulate objects or cast spells due to their lack of physical strength and dexterity as well as an inability to use magic items that require more than one hand.. In order for players not feel like they’re always using “Goblin” over again when naming these creatures, here’s some advice on creating new nicknames – .. One strategy might be choosing a race other than goblin from the list of playable character races and then using that race’s name in a wordplay to make it feel like the goblin is part of this new race.

Accentuating or exaggerating some feature can also be effective when creating nicknames: for example, naming their weapon “Stabby” might work well if they come from a tribe who wields spears and knives as weapons. If you wanted to give them an animal-like quality, such as being quick on their feet or having sharp teeth, one idea could be giving them a nickname based off of how cute or ferocious animals are (e.g., Fang!). You should always keep creativity in mind when coming up with these names because players will get bored easily if all they hear is a name like “Fang” or a phrase that sounds similar to their own name.

Exemplary Nickname Examples: As mentioned before, nicknames can be based off of what your goblin might do when interacting with other members of society and relationships they have with others around them. For instance, if they are sometimes seen as too nosy by those who know them well enough-but not always maliciously so-then it would make sense to give them a nickname related to curiosity or spying on others.

One could call their friend “Curious Joe” or “Nosy Nancy” or “Spy Sally.”

Comments: The end of the paragraph includes a list that could be used as inspiration for nicknames. This is not an exhaustive list, but it provides some ideas to get you started. Remember to keep your goblin’s personality in mind when coming up with their nickname! For example, if they are known throughout society for being belligerent and violent without provocation then using “Fiery Fredricka” might not be appropriate because she would probably be insulted by such a name; likewise, someone who is kind-hearted and gentle should not have the nickname “Cruel Caroline” even though there are other Carolyns out there who exhibit those qualities. It’s important to keep in mind that the name you choose for your goblin should be something they would enjoy being called.

-Sneaky Sally -Greedy Gertie -Nosy Nancy
