The recession of 2008 was so severe that the world economy is still recovering.
Even today, countries are struggling to recover from this sharp decline in economic activity. The blame for all this can be attributed to two major factors: housing and banking institutions. However, the contribution by From Software has not gone unnoticed.
“One game developer you may have never heard of before – Japanese video-game company called FromSoftware – had a huge influence on these events.” In 2004 one year after Sony Playstation’s release, Hideo Kojima (creator of Metal Gear) left Konami and joined forces with former members of Square Enix Japan Studio to form their own development studio – FromSoftware Incorporated. They released an action role playing game called “King’s Field” in 2001 for the Playstation. Despite seeming like just another action RPG, it had one major differentiating characteristic: its hard difficulty.
This made it a popular game for hardcore gamers and as PC gaming became more widespread, King’s Field was ported to various platforms. FromSoftware continued releasing critically acclaimed games including Demon Souls (2009), Dark Soul (2011) and Bloodborne (2015). Hideo Kojima who is now working on Death Stranding may not be at Konami anymore but he has partnered with From Software to make sure that they are still delivering high quality games to this day! With their upcoming PSVR title ‘Déraciné’ set to release later this year, we can expect more good things to come. In the meantime, you can find From Software’s older games on sale as digital downloads through Sony’s PSN which is cheaper than buying physical copies!

The recession is a tough topic to talk about, and it’s easy to jump straight into the numbers. Let’s remember that behind every number there were real people who lost their jobs, careers or homes. We can also take comfort in knowing that From Software has been releasing consistently critically-acclaimed games since then – including Dark Souls II which received critical acclaim from fans of all types when it came out last year. There are still many good things to come for both them as well as us gamers looking forward to playing these new games on our PSN accounts ! In the meantime, we’re happy they’ve already made an appearance at E³ 2016 with predictions of future announcements.

Dark Souls II Coming This March: At this point, it’s no secret that FromSoftware was one of the first companies to announce a game for the Nintendo Switch.
Titled Dark Souls II: Scholar Of The First Sin, this PC and Xbox One exclusive is scheduled to release on March 24th 2016 and will include improvements such as graphics upgrades (think higher resolution textures), remastered audio with new commentary tracks from series creator Hidetaka Miyazaki, multiplayer additions like nine additional players per session in total
The Future Looks Bright For PSN Accounts – From Software has announced their attendance at E³ 2016 early next week so we can expect some big announcements heading our way soon ! With many speculating about whether or not Sony will make an appearance there too does mean they’ll be live streaming the event for all to see
In addition, Miyazaki has also given his thoughts on how he will be tackling development of PlayStation VR going forward. He’s excited about it and thinks it has “incredible potential”. His first idea is a game where you can go fly around in any direction like Superman but with full 360 degree control. This kind of gameplay would come completely natural in virtual reality because people are so used to controlling things with their head already! It could even become sort of an interactive movie experience if done right–something that players have been demanding since games took off as entertainment mediums years ago.”
The Future Looks Bright For PSN Accounts – From Software has announced their attendance at E³ 2016 early this year in June, and they are planning to show off their new VR titles that will be launching soon. These games will most likely take advantage of the Playstation Move controllers which have been around for a while now
they’re just waiting on developers to come up with exciting gameplay experiences using them!
After this article was originally published, it came to our attention that From Software had actually announced their attendance at E³ 2016 back in 2015 (press release) and not again as we’d reported earlier. We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience caused by this mistake.
In addition, Sony has confirmed after the original publication date that “Bloodborne” is coming out exclusively on PSN before making its way over to PC and other consoles later.

It’s unclear when From Software will release their games likely due out for Playstation VR but it’s still exciting nonetheless! When they do launch, hopefully these titles will take advantage of what developers have been working with for years now–Sony’s Move controllers which were first introduced back in 2010 (press release). It would be great if more adventure games took advantage of them as well since most seem to play out like a shooter rather than an adventure game. The PlayStation Move controllers are just another reason why From Software’s games have been so enjoyable to play! They’re easy for new players who don’t want to learn the intricacies of complicated controls, but they also challenge those more advanced players looking for something that will test their skills. The controller is simply genius and it helps make every single one of these titles even better! Who can resist having two wands with lights on them? I would recommend any gamer interested in getting into Playstation VR or Bloodborne to start by playing through Demon Souls first as you’ll likely get a lot out of both experiences if you do this–especially since many people see it as the best entry point
